I am so excited for today’s post; not only does it involve home decor and crafting but it is something I told myself I would do and I did it! If you’re a busy mom you know setting and achieving little goals like this for yourself are so meaningful. I have wanted to create my own boho wall art for some time and after a trip to a local home store where I found a beautifully hand-crafted dream-catcher I was reminded of said goal. I craft A LOT. A LOT is an understatement (see our family craft activities here) but in all this time I had yet to create something for myself. (WATCH MY CRAFT WITH ME VIDEO HERE)
You know where this is going right? To Michael’s, a crafter’s paradise. On our next trip to Michael’s I selected several spools of yarn both for my work-space and my daughter’s room; call it mother’s intuition but I just had a feeling she was going to want one as well. We also made a trip to the hardware store so I could cut wooden dowels to size.
I used the wooden dowels as my base for the boho wall-hangings. To hang the projects, I used some fantastic ‘gold’-infused twine I purchased from the Christmas section of Hobby Lobby. (WATCH MY CRAFT WITH ME VIDEO HERE)
I loved creating these and look forward to learning different techniques. Although this is not a step-by-step tutorial, it was a project made with my own-two-hands that fulfilled a goal of mine. This is only the beginning.
