The days before I gave birth …

My last days during this pregnancy..

Despite how tough my pregnancy was, it was still a magical time. Knowing that I was creating life, creating this person and feeling her wiggle, kick, punch, hiccup, and roll is still amazing to me. What’s even more amazing? That this 6+ pound little girl actually came out of me. lol. The love I have for my daughter is unparalleled, from the first positive pregnancy test to holding her in my arms for the first time.

My last doctor’s appointment..

I took these pictures the week before I gave birth. I was pretty bummed Audrey wasn’t here yet but she was more than worth the wait.

“Man plans, and God laughs.”

Shortly before I gave birth we ventured out to the beach. I had never been to the beach around Christmas but I was determined to walk myself into labor and take in the beauty around me.

Chris and I have always brought back a rock or two after each beach trip the past 5 1/2 years.

Audrey’s room theme is lambs, so for good measure we gave Tyson his own little Lamb Chop. This thing squeaks..I am not a fan of squeaking haha,  c’est la vie.

It has been hard to find time to film or  write, in fact I’ll let you in on a secret, all of the blog posts that have gone up since December have been written while nursing. BUT, I am really happy that I was able to spend this time with my family. I had a natural child birth, so wanting time for recovery, bonding, and forming a routine is completely understandable if I do say so myself.

My little girl was and IS my first priority..AND let’s face it, baby cuddles top everything 🙂 They say you can’t spoil a newborn so the fact that she sleeps best on my chest is okay with me. 😉 I love her much more than words can say and I am truly thankful that I get to be her mother. She was worth the wait!
